HI, I'M SHANNON!
I’m the writer and photographer behind AN AMERICAN NOT IN PARIS. I’ve had lifelong love for the finer things in life and that love a was sent to a new level the first time I visited Paris. The way people lived was exactly what I wanted to be - spending hours sitting outside at cafes just watching life go by, indulging in dinner parties with friends, classic clothing staples to wear throughout a lifetime. It all felt too perfect. Now I try to find the Parisian life everyday and document it here, whether I’m in Chicago, Paris, or traveling elsewhere. I currently reside in Chicago with my husband Aaron and our adorable pup (PAWS Alumn!) Cornelius. You’ll see them pop up from time to time too.
